Yearbook Design.vl
The theme was diversity portrayed in a way that shows the similarity of people that are different. Being that we are all different but are all pursuing the same goal (to graduate) made this feel appropriate. I enjoy the use of gradients and simple fonts. To me they give images a touch of class, while the one unique font gives it a hint of elegance.
The theme for this template is "together we can reach anything." The reason I chose to use these figures is because we are as a whole reaching graduation together and sharing the struggles we all have to endure. I used a radial gradient with a set of asymmetrical lines for the front cover to add some flair. Where as for the back cover I used a simple mixture of custom shapes to create little people and a sky, while also using the gradient tool to create a more realistic horizon view behind the shapes. The theme is shown on the back cover to allow the large emphasis. On the front cover there are sets of walked paths that are meant to portray what we have gone through to get to where we are now.
I chose "oxymoron" as my word because it is used when opposites appear to describe the same object, situation, or individual. In this case, on my picture i used clouds as the representation of the heavens and fire as a representation as hell. The idea of these two images being in the same picture came from the ying and yang symbol, because all that is good has a little bit of bad and all that is bad has a little bit of good. Therefore making the idea of good people and bad people an oxymoron if bad and good coexist in the same spectrum.
